Get My Task Bot · Last updated: May 2026
1. What we collect
When you use Get My Task, we store the minimum data necessary to provide the service:
- Your Telegram user ID and language preference
- Tasks you create (title, date, time, priority quadrant)
- Google OAuth token (only if you choose to connect Google Calendar)
- Timezone and reminder preferences
2. How we use your data
- To create, store, and display your tasks
- To add events to your Google Calendar on your request
- To send reminders via Telegram
- To transcribe voice messages using Groq Whisper API
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
3. Google Calendar access
If you connect Google Calendar, we request the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar scope to create and read
calendar events. Your OAuth token is stored securely in our database and is
used solely to add tasks to your calendar. You can revoke access at any time
via Google Account Permissions
or by using the Disconnect button in the bot settings.
Limited Use disclosure.
Get My Task’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other
app will adhere to
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, Get My Task:
- only uses Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing feature it was granted for (Google Calendar sync);
- does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide that feature, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger / acquisition / asset sale with appropriate user notice;
- does not use Google user data for serving ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising;
- does not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative consent for specific messages, do so for security purposes (e.g. investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or our use is limited to internal operations and the data (including derivatives) has been aggregated and anonymized.
4. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use your data — including
Google user data — for advertising.
Your Google user data (the Google OAuth token and your Google Calendar
events) specifically:
- is exchanged directly between our server and Google's API over an
encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connection;
- is never sold, rented, or shared with advertising networks or data brokers;
- is never sent to our transcription / AI provider (Groq) — Groq only
processes the voice and text messages you send to the bot, and never
receives your Google Calendar data;
- is shown back to you only through Telegram, as part of the reminders
and digests you requested (for example, a calendar event title appearing
in a reminder message).
We disclose data only when strictly necessary to: (a) comply with
applicable law or a valid legal request; (b) protect the rights, safety, or
security of our users or the service; or (c) complete a merger, acquisition,
or sale of assets — in which case we will give you advance notice before any
data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
The following service providers (sub-processors) may process data on our
behalf, strictly to operate the service:
- Telegram — message delivery; all bot interaction
passes through Telegram (Privacy Policy)
- Google — Calendar API, only if you connect Google
Calendar (Privacy Policy)
- Groq — voice transcription and task parsing; processes
the messages you send, not your calendar data (Privacy Policy)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — hosting of the private
server where data is stored (Privacy Policy)
5. Data retention
Your data is stored as long as you use the bot. You can request deletion of
all your data at any time by contacting us. Disconnecting Google Calendar
immediately removes your OAuth token from our database.
6. Data protection
We apply the following measures to protect your data, including sensitive
data such as your Google OAuth token and Google Calendar content:
- Encryption in transit — all communication with
Telegram, Google APIs, and our server uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Encryption at rest — Google OAuth tokens are stored
encrypted in our database.
- Access control — the server and database are private;
access is restricted to the developer via key-based SSH, and the database
is not exposed to the public internet.
- Data minimization — we collect only what is needed to
run the service (see section 1) and request the minimum Google scope
required.
- No sensitive logging — we do not log the content of
your tasks or your calendar data beyond what is required for the service to
function, and logs never contain OAuth tokens.
- Revocation — you can disconnect Google Calendar at any
time, which immediately deletes your OAuth token from our database; you can
also revoke access from your
Google Account.
- Incident response — if we become aware of a data breach
affecting your data, we will act promptly to contain it and notify affected
users.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To
